What Irons Should I be Looking For?
I am currently about a 5 handicap at the moment, i am 20 years of age, i took a year off golf, been out about 5 times this year, and have been surprising myself this year shooting under par a couple times and a few over. I have at my Cleveland TA7 Tour iron set since i was 15, i am thinking its about time i got some new clubs.
My Current club distance is as follows I hit a fairly long ball:
Driver: 300+ Yards (Cobra 390sz about 4 years old)
2 Iron: 245+ yards (Old Titleist model)
3 Iron: 230 yards
4 Iron: 220 yards
5 Iron: 210 yards
6 Iron: 200 yards
7 Iron: 175 yards
8 Iron: 160 yards
9 Iron: 148 yards
Pitching Wedge: 135 yards
Sand Wedge: 120 yards (Cleveland REG 588. 56 degree)
Just looking for an iron set, i can drive fine, dont need to improve on that.
Something that can compete with todays clubs would be fine.
You are pretty good, so just go to a golf demo or a pro shop and try out everything and see what you like.
