My brother(who owned a Dodge Dealership in California for 10 years) said they would sit on the lot literally for years before being deeply discounted for sale. In the hands of a professional race-driver(who could stand getting the crap beat out of them for 1-2 hour stints)it was moderately successful, but didn't last the test of time, such as the 911

Just like Ford wouldn't fess up until THEY announced Mercury would bite the dust(known to insiders), same with Oldsmobile, etc.

Have to admit...they did look neat, but was never accepted by automotive journalists as much more than a trophy-car for those with very deep pockets, since the ergonomics was a disaster, V-10 sound was God-awful, and the built quality was even worse than the present day Vette.

RIP Snake-eyes...you'll be missed.
