How should I set up my blood parrot aquarium?
How should a 55-gallon aquarium, with 3 blood parrots (yes, I know that they're hybrids; I still want them), 5 giant danios, and 6 cory cats, be set up? What type of decorations should it have? Ph? Should it be tall, skinny and long, or a perfect cube?
P.S. please don't yell that the tank is too small, because it really isn't.
Go with what you like,it's your tank.My experience with parrot's is that they like 2 uproot plants.I recommend plastic,tall on the ends in the back and a shorter 1 or 2 in the front.In the middle,go with shorter plants,kind of a broadleaf variety.With this set-up my fish have an open swimming area,as well as plenty of cover and hiding spots.
Seem's your focus fish are the parrot's,good choice.Being Central American cichlid hybrids,root structures are enjoyed by them.You can get gnarled driftwood,or resin type copy's,i use both.Being your tank,your personal favorite's are all fine.
