The question is this: which would be better for melting it completely?
If you can provide the maximum temperature achieved, burning time to achieve it, and amount of thermite used that would answer the question.

My speculation is that a lower temperature, and thus a slower burning thermite would be better at melting it.

Any suggestions, ideas, etc are welcome, this is for a project and I know the dangers and precautions to take when working.
