Lob Wedge Steel
My bag setup...?
I am thinking of altering the current set in my bag.
Driver - Titleist 905r w/ Proforce V2 stiff
3 wood - Cleveland steel 15* stiff
Irons - Srixon i-506 stiff 3-pw
GW - Cleveland Reg 588 51*
SW - Titleist Vokey Oil Can 56*
LW - Taylormade Rac Black 60*
I'm thinking of ditching one of my wedges (I have four) and going for a 2 iron (or maybe even a one iron if i can find one - my friend has one and I can rip it 230 on a good day.) Do you think this is a good idea for a 2.5 handicapper? Personally, I don't use my lob wedge for much at all, just the occasional lob or soft, short bunker shot. Also, my 3 wood has seemingly lost all hits "pop" and I want to get a new one. I know they went out of business, but are Sonartec woods really all they are hyped up to be? Sorry for the long speal...

I like your set up how it is. Im a plus 3 handicapper and take it from me, the 4 wedges is a good idea. If you really want to make good scores, your gonna need lots of distances to go to inside 120. I switched to having 4 vokey wedges 60- 48 last year, and it took my game to the next level.
learn how to swing each of you wedges at 7:30 9:00 and 11:30 and learn those distances. I guarantee your game will take off.
