Buying new irons.?
I am a beginner golfer, and i've been to the driving range about 10 times, and had a few lessons. I found some clubs that a guy at my club is selling. He has Callaway X-tour forged irons, 3-PW, with TT dynamic Gold x100 shafts. Someone told me that you have to have a high swing speed for these shafts, but i was wondering if, since i am a beginner, would that really matter just for learning the basics. He is selling all 8 clubs for $300 and they have only 1 season of use and are in great condition. So even if the shafts are hard to use, will it be worth it for just the heads and i can get new shafts? Thanks

dont listen to tto42, hes the moron. just because its tour doesnt mean squat. getting clubs that are hard to hit can make you a better ball striker if you have the talent to actually learn to use them. that being said you have only gone to the range ten times and if you do get this set you will omst likely mishit every shot, which will likely hurt your hands every time. Having extra stiff shafts also wont help with the forgiveness.I play forged irons and they have helped me drop 5 strokes in about amonth, but ive been playing for 6 years. All in all this set is most likely far beyond your skill level to hit effectively, but it seems like a pretty good deal so you can always sell them if tehy dont work out and make your money back. And you never know they could help you improve your game significantly, but you would have to stick with it and keep from getting frustrated.
