Golf Rescue Mid

My golf game has gone. WHY?

Up until 2 weeks ago I was a fairly decent player off 14. I hit my Driver around 200/210. My long irons are terrible (But my cleveland rescue clubs are helping) and my game was always based upon my irons from 150 yards in, my nickname at my golf club is "Radar" due to my ability to ALWAYS hit it close from short distances.

HOWEVER, I have recently started to hit my irons fat and even when I do hit them clean they go left. Not duck hook left but off target by maybe 10 feet.

As this was the only part of my game that was worth anything I am all of a sudden shooting mid 90's when 2 weeks ago I was shooting mid 80's.

I have recently started to hit my driver over 250 yards on a fairly consistent basis. Could the two things be related?

Sounds like two things; your grip and swing speed.

You may have a strong grip which could cause you to pull the ball. Try a weaker grip. This will keep you from rolling your wrist through too early.

Fat shots is classic case of trying to swing too hard. If you play with guys that typically hit the ball farther than you, it is natural to try and swing harder. We are guys, it is a guy thing. Take it easy on your iron shots. A nice tempo swing will go just as far if you hit it correctly and you will have less fat shots and mishits.
