Deg Lob Wedge
When i use a lob wedge golf club why does the ball shoot to the right instead of straight?
I have a 60 deg lob wedge i try to use for chipping at the practice green but instead of the ball going straight it shoots to the right..
It's as if the golf head is cricked or something but it is not.
what the heck is going wrong here?
2 possible situations.
1. Your downswing coming towards your body (Imagine if the grip is driving into your left leg but missing it by a bit). This makes the clubface open up and you are also hitting across the ball.
2. Your swing is not "in tune" and you decelerate and hit the ball off the hozle or the club head loses enough speed to open the club face and shoot the ball right.
If these are not the issues you can try pulling your feet together and cocking them to the left (I assume you are right handed) so when you swing the club face is coming in at an angle, but it with your feet cocked out like that it will work, trust me. also, if you are decelerating (meaning you bring the swing back with confidence but second guess and hitch in the downswing) make a tempo, 1,2 back 3 through and so on.
