Should I buy a new golf driver? TM 07 Burner?

Ok well I just started golfing, and I'm absolutely in love with it. Although when I drive the ball it slices to the right. I currently have some older hand-me-down clubs, I've heard some people say a new driver completely corrected their slice. I plan on having some lessons to become better, and I'm embarrassed of my older clubs. Should I get a new driver? And on golfsmith.com the TM 07 Burner is the 2nd highest selling product, good price, anyone own the club? Should I get it? Any other suggestions?

Taylormade makes the best and highest quality drivers on the Golf Market, but I'm doubting it'll cure your slice. Slicing or hooking is caused by your golf technique and can be solved with your lessons. A new driver can, however, improve your distance, accuracy, and overall confidence. For a beginner I would totally recommend an R7 or a Burner driver. Don't overlook the newer Taylormade R9, it's good for players of all skill level if you don't mind paying out the big bucks for it!

If you are looking for a driver with a quick fix to a slice, I suggest you try out a draw-faced driver, as it should straighten out your shots as long as you have the slice swing. Once your swing is fixed though, this type of driver could betray you.

Hope this helps!
